To find out demand and supply–side factors, which can enhance trade, investment, and people to people contacts between BIMSTEC countries and Japan To develop an appropriate framework for understanding the future strategy in terms of economic, social, and cultural factors towards creating closer ties between BIMSTEC countries and Japan To prepare an advocacy document for public education on development-oriented BIMSTEC-Japan economic cooperation on learning from research and other activities and by taking into account the interests and priorities of trade and investment relationship between BIMSTEC and Japan
