Launch Meeting

CSIRD organised the Launch Meeting of the Project titled “Towards BIMSTEC-Japan Comprehensive Economic Cooperation” on 28-29 May 2005 at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. The objective of the Launch Meeting was to facilitate cross-fertilisation of experiences and lessons learnt on economic (trade and investment) cooperation between Japan and BIMSTEC countries in order to develop appropriate policy responses and also to discuss project-related activities and methodology for the implementation. Representatives from academia, business chambers, government and inter-governmental organizations and civil society were invited.
